Faux Wood Door

Another twenty-first birthday card, this time for a male. As usual, the light wasn’t great (it always seems to be overcast when I’m photographing my cards!) and the colours aren’t quite true to life. I used the faux wood technique so it would look a little like a timber door. The numbers were done in Soft Suede and then spritzed with the shimmer paint/Isocol/re-inker mix, which gave it a metallic look.

Card: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Stamp Pads: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Timeless Type Sizzlets, Antique Brad, metallic brad, keys charm (non-SU), Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with Isocol and Early Espresso re-inker

WOW Jan – you’ve outdone yourself! Deceptively simple and clean, with a lot of technique executed perfectly. 10/10! Love your work, clever girl!
